Since graduate school, I have been invested in the “Queer Asias” project defined by various scholars, such as Howard Chiang, Alvin Wong, Audrey Yue, Helen Leung, and more. I see my contribution to this mainly in the area of popular culture. For me, this is very much a collaborative exercise and for this reason, my publications on this tend to be co-authored.
